ABOUT VAL

Let me tell you a little bit about myself and Exotic Blossoms by Val. I am the mother to a wonderful son who was then 21 years old. Being a single mother I took on dual roles of parenting him. With that came years of being a football mom as well as other sports he dabbled in. Of course like so many other parents to an athlete came countless hours to adhering to my son’s daily schedule throughout all his years of school. Dreaming his dreams and putting mine on the back burner for so many years. Once he earned a football and athletic scholarship and went off to college I then began dreaming for myself again. 

Although I love working as a social worker, I realized early on that I yearned for a more creative environment for myself. After several months of creating floral arrangements which I did enjoy doing I saw a cherry blossom tree and knew that would be my very next challenge.  When I saw my finish tree, my mind exploded. I thought how beautiful is this – I then realized what my true passion was. I didn’t know how I was going to do it, but I decided this is what I wanted to do. This is where the adventure begins. I would design and create amazingly gorgeous cherry blossom trees for the world to enjoy.

While creating my trees my heart flutters, like a butterfly fluttering its wings. The love I truly put into every branch on the tree is displayed on the finish tree which is full of exquisiteness. As fate would have it, Exotic Blossoms by Val is my new love and has brought an array of beauty to many special events, homes and corporate businesses.  I couldn’t set down the inspiration for my love to create, so in spite the beginning challenges that come with a small business. I had already started a small office where I was learning fast. I promised myself that I would never look back rather trust in the leap of faith I took and know that God will make this a dream I never awaken from.
